This is my fifth time signing up for the CIBC Run for the Cure, a cause that’s deeply personal to me. I did my first run in 2019, almost exactly two years after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. While she was going through radiation treatment in the fall of 2017, I was living in BC and felt far away and powerless to help her, so I folded origami cranes for every day of her treatment. Now, running each year is my way of staying connected to her journey and honouring the strength of both my mom and my grandmothers, all of whom are breast cancer survivors. 

Their journeys inspire me every day, and I am running to support research and programs that can help others in their fight against this disease. Every contribution makes a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer—thank you for your support!
