So this is it, this is the Run for the Cure weekend. People who have been affected by breast cancer will join together as a force!  
I have joined together with a fellow alum, Karen in Karen’s Boob Crew! I met Karen during a Zoom group support session offered by Manitoba Cancercare (we went through treatment during Covid).  During a low time after treatment, a mutual friend suggested I speak with her friend who had gone through breast cancer.  Our first call, we realized we had already met during a Cancercare Zoom call!  We have formed a bond and friendship that I can’t begin to describe.  I describe Karen as my shining beacon of light.  The friendships that can be formed with others who have gone through the same things you have gone through are like nothing else.  
The funds raised for Cancer research are so important, equally important, are these events, and how uplifting they can be for those who have been affected by cancer.  
You will see smiles, tears and hear laughter during events like the Run for the Cure, please know, your support is filling us all with love, strength and most importantly, hope!
