In 2017, when Breanna was 26, she was diagnosed with stage 3b triple negative breast cancer. Breanna was fierce, strong and stubborn. Her attitude from the time she was initially diagnosed was that breast cancer had met the wrong girl and she was determined to overcome her diagnosis. 

Breanna underwent 6 rounds of chemo, a mastectomy with reconstruction, and 28 rounds of radiation. After all of this, she was pronounced “cancer free.”

About a year later, after a trip to the ER, Breanna was told her cancer had returned and metastasized. A year after that, on May 6th, 2020, Breanna, our bestfriend, our sister, lost her life to breast cancer. 

This year will be our 8th consecutive year as Breanna's Boobie Brigade and although Bre isn't here with us to walk and raise awareness, her battle is never over. Breanna didn't lose her battle to breast cancer because as long as Breanna's Boobie Brigade is up and running, her battle is forever ongoing.
