I was just beginning a new chapter in my life of retirement at 59 years of age in 2020 and after a 40 year career with Government of Canada when shortly after doing a self exam I found a lump and was subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer HER2 positive.  After receiving great care I am returning to my busy normal routine which includes supporting and fundraising for Cancer.  I currently enjoy participating with a strong dynamic team of dragon boat ladies; survivors and supporters called Tit bateau.  I have developed friendships while it has also encouraged more participation and support of cancer related events.  Together we can make a difference!
