An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.   I was blown away when they told me "You have Cancer". I was diagnosed in 2021 with Stage 3 Triple negative Inflammatory Breast Cancer. The reason I was so shocked was because my sister was diagnosed in 2014 with the exact cancer. We were both 50 when diagnosed.   

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.   

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.  My sister's treatment options were few and she lost the battle in September 2018. For me, the options and treatments in 2021 were light years from 2014 due to research in diagnosing and treating triple negative cancers
