I never thought I would be one of an estimated 27,700 women and 260 men who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. Yet here I am, now celebrating one year cancer free.

I am running in memory of Jennifer Johns Dolson. Jennifer was a lifeline for me and many others during our cancer treatment, all while fighting her own battle.

Without my annual mammogram, my cancer may not have been found until much later. That is why I’m participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

I hope you’ll consider helping me reach my fundraising goal of $500. Every dollar will fund breast cancer research, support programs, and services.
