To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, Both men and women can get breast cancer. I am a 11 year survivor thanks to my father who got tested for the BC gene.  Both my father and my uncle have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The Canadian Cancer Society estimated 260 men would be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. Most of their cancers are at a more advanced stage and survival rates are lower. I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure in honour of my father who passed away in July and to raise awareness of male breast cancer.
