My beautiful wife Angela is a breast cancer survivor. She started her journey of hope after she was diagnosed with DCIS in March of 2021 after a routine mammogram. She had a biopsy that confirmed the diagnosis, a lumpectomy in June and a second lumpectomy in July to make sure all cancer cells were gone. 

She chose radiation therapy in hopes of decreasing her chances of getting breast cancer in the future. She had 15 radiation treatments beginning the end of September and ended mid October.  The poor woman suffered for several weeks afterwards healing from the radiation burns, it broke my heart to see her in that much pain.

Being the strong woman she is, she kicked Cancer’s ass! She survived and I look forward to the wonderful future we'll have together.

Angela and I are participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure on October 6 in Wolfville to help spread awareness and to encourage mammograms and early detection of breast cancer.
