I am walking in the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure for our nephew's 34 year old wife who succumbed to Breast Cancer in June 2024. I am walking for her grieving husband who shouldn't be in this position and for her children in the hope that they do not get cancer in their lifetime. And I am also walking for myself after being diagnosed in April 2023. I entered my cancer journey very naively not knowing what the coming year would bring. It was a long year of treatments with many side effects - some temporary and some permanent such as lymphedema and neuropathy that I will live with for the rest of my life.
