An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024. This is my 10th time running with my team Angie's Army.

You may know, my younger sister lost her battle in 2018 to breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 2015, and put up a long, tremendous fight. In her honor, I created a team “Angie’s Army” comprised of friends and family for the CIBC Run for the Cure.

As you can imagine, this cause is very close to my heart as not only have I lost a sister, but have an Aunt, and two close friends combat this horrible disease – they are true survivors and I truly hope that more can be the success they are. This disease has altered my life, my family’s and Angie’s many friends. If I can make a difference in just one life, then all the effort is worth it.

That is why choose to support this event. Not only could I be helping strangers, but my mother, my daughters or grand-daughters, nieces, or even me, could one day be affected.

I really want to make an effort to meet my personal fundraising goal of $1000.

Pledges are accepted for any amount - no amount is too small and I accept all donations with gratitude.
