An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. I was one of these people. On December 23rd 2022, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma.  Having completed my surgery and radiation treatment, I incredibly grateful and want to do my part to support this important cause.

To show my support for all other Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6th.

P.S. Did you know? Fundraising $300 can fund help provide healthy home-cooked meals for guests at a Canadian Cancer Society lodge during their stay. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
