This is my sister Becky and her beautiful family.

This summer, at just 34 years old, Becky was diagnosed with breast cancer. As someone who works with people with cancer every day, I’m no stranger to this disease. But when it's your sister, it's different. Cancer stops being something you help others through—it becomes part of your family, and it hits so much closer to home.

With 14 years in cancer care, I have seen the difference improved screening practices, early interventions and better treatment options can make. That why this year, in support of Becky and the thousands of other Canadian families living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis, I am participating in the CIBC Run For The Cure. With your support, we can fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and provide crucial support services to those impacted.
