To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. 

 On August 23, 2021, I lost my beautiful Mom to metastatic breast cancer. My Mom was a bright light in this world full of energy, kindness, creativity and positivity. I am lucky to call her my Mom and my best friend. 

She had run in Run for the Cure many times, and even led the warmup the year after her diagnosis. She loved all things fitness related, so continuing to do Run for the Cure for her every year seems a very fitting way to celebrate her life and remember the impact she had on so many.

My Mom received incredible care from the London Cancer Program. With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease. My hope is that this world will one day not have to lose any more bright lights like my Mom, and that no other family will have to know the pain of losing someone so special.
