Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” 

A few years ago someone that means the world to me heard these unfortunate words. Luckily, our health system  came through, with surgery done quickly, and a successful treatment plan. But I know this story could have been very different.

Research is needed to continue to change the narrative of breast cancer, so that hopefully one day (soon) no Canadian has to hear those words.

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, I’m joining a community that is a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer. My daughter and I are running in honour of my mom for the 7th year in a row, and we need your help!
