April 2022 - I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Fast forward to a year after my diagnosis and I have been given a clean bill of health and considered to have No evidence of dissease.

When my oncologist said a year from now you'll be done, I thought it was just an expression, but it was true. While I am done with cancer treatment from a medical standpoint, I don't believe I ever really be done treating this disease and what it has done to me and my life. Forever living with a fear of what lies ahead, but one thing is for sure, I will live this life, and I mean LIVE! I will not let it bring me down, I will not let it control me, and I will not let it take away happiness or hope. I am bigger than cancer, and I can't wait to share many more milestones in my life.

My only wish is that I have inspired some of you to never give up, to believe you can do really hard things. To have faith even when things don't seem to make any sense at all. Trust your body and always advocate for yourself and your health. If someone tells you not to worry, it's no big deal, but you think it's a big deal, then keep pushing until you get answers. Be there for your loved ones and let them be there for you. Take the time, do the work, you will be better for it.
