To show my support for my friend Poonam Batra, and all of my dear family members and friends that have been impacted by cancer, I am again participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023 with Team Purple. Please read Poonam's story below:

"I have sincerely appreciated your support in all ways over the past 13 years since my first diagnosis with breast cancer and now again with my second breast cancer diagnosis. It's difficult to put into words having to deal with breast cancer again and now as a mom of 2 little girls. I am again feeling so lucky that early screening, detection and progress in treatment strategies have given me hope and the drive to fight again. I am also so very appreciative of all the support and love I have received from so many that has made this journey through surgery and chemotherapy feel doable. I again feel like I'm not in this fight alone. I really do not have words to express how important that support was and how much it has meant to me over the years. Run for the Cure has always been a special event for me to see the support of so many friends, family and the community behind you."
