Welcome to our team Jenn's Gems! Our small but mighty team is back again this year!  This year will be different as we are doing a memory walk for our  friend Jennifer Schaefer in the 2024 Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6th

Our small team of 5 met at work and became fast friends through the many challenges you experience on the job and have supported each other through life's adventures.   In 2023, we put together Jenn's Gems to raise money for one of our 5 gems, Jennifer Schaefer, who was bravely fighting cancer. It was our way of taking back a bit of control in Jenn's fight to beat this horrible disease.  We have been through some of life's biggest challenges together and wanted to band together to face this challenge with Jenn and her family Todd, Johnny, Zara and Matthew!  We were truly determined to take this challenge head on and win!  Unfortunately, Jenn lost her battle on February 24, 2024, with heavy hearts, we want to keep Jenn's fighting spirit alive, so we are back again this year and walking in her memory!  There will definitely be a few tears but in Jenn's true spirit, there will be lots of laughs too! 

We are also participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024, because we truly believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. We want to do our part so other families can have their amazing mom, wife, friend in their lives, supporting all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, including our family and friends.

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal of $600.00 and fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease. Together, we can create a future without breast cancer.
