Breasties Bust a Move

Our Captain Ruth and her 'Breastie' of 30 years Michelle battled breast cancer together.  After Michelle's diagnosis and the realization of how important self checks are Ruth found a lump of her own.  They were diagnosed just a few months apart and took the journey together, they were both treated at Credit Valley Hospital and (by choice) had the same Surgeon and Oncologist.  They went to appointments together, sat through each others chemo appointments, supported each others decisions, even lost their hair and purchased wigs together.
 
 
Each of us has been touched by cancer, some of us are breast cancer thrivers.  This year we have come together as a team to support the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
 
We are participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, because we believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. And we want to support all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, including our family and friends.
