Chatham-Kent: Pink and Powerful - CIBC Run for the Cure

Chatham-Kent

Pink and Powerful

Last year I ran the 5km CIBC Run for the Cure following my mums stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis. Together we raised nearly $7,000. The money raised and support given from our community was extremely uplifting and provided hopefulness for her.

Recently, her diagnosis has progressed to stage 4 terminal breast cancer with a prognosis of 2-2.5 years. While she has further testing to undergo, we are hopeful she is a candidate for surgery which would help provide her pain relief and time with us.

This year’s CIBC Run for the Cure is October 1, and I am again participating as a runner.

Feel free to support me by running with me on my team, leaving a money donation to search for a cure, or sharing this link.

Thank you to everyone for your support last year and this year again. Any support during this difficult time is more appreciated than you know.
