This year marks 3 years since I heard those dreaded words “ THE TEST RESULTS CONFIRM YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER”. Though with the help of my family and friends along with the amazing nurses and doctors at the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Center at Lakeridge Health Oshawa I was able to beat this horrible disease. Many others have not been as fortunate.

Over the years we have come a long way in the early diagnosis and treatment of all forms of cancer. But we still have a long way to go to beat it. The CIBC Run for the Cure is a great fundraising event that brings family and friends together to support ongoing cancer research as well as each other.

This year I will be participating in the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on October 6th in Oshawa in honour of my friend and colleague Sue Bushe who lost her battle with Cancer earlier this year.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
