This time two years ago, my incredible Mom began a series of tests that would lead to her diagnosis of Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Since then, she has battled through 8 rounds of chemo, a mastectomy, multiple rounds of radiation, and numerous medications, and has been an absolute trooper through it all. We are so grateful that recent scans have come back clear but that does not always mean the appointments stop and the battle is over.

That year I ran in the CIBC Run for the Cure as a way of coping with the news and feeling a need to do something more to support my Mom and all the patients and families who go through this battle. I was so touched by the community and support during the run and as it continues to hit close to home in our family, I will be participating in my 3rd run this year. We are so grateful for all the support we received and now I would like to give back.
