Welcome to My Fundraising Page! In honour of my cousin & best friend Nora Aragon Belo a survivor & warrior, I will be walking along side with her for the cause. Please read her story: I reached the age of 50 on January 6th, 2023, which should have been a day filled with celebration for reaching such a significant milestone. However, I couldn't help but feel conflicted emotionally. Just two years earlier, on January 5th, 2021, my cousin sadly passed away from breast cancer before even turning 40. The pain of losing her was still fresh, making it difficult for me to find joy in my own 50th birthday. In June 2023, I discovered a lump on my left breast. Knowing that my sister and niece had previously experienced benign lumps, I assumed that mine would be the same. But on August 29th, I received the devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. The following six months became the most grueling and challenging period of my life, filled with countless tests, injections, six rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, and 25 radiation treatments. The physical and emotional exhaustion I felt was overwhelming. Then, on February 13th, 2024, came the news I had been anxiously waiting for... I was officially cancer-free, a survivor. It was a truly remarkable and uplifting moment. I couldn't help but express my gratitude to God for his goodness throughout this difficult journey. And the support I have received from my family and friends will always hold a special place in my heart.
