April 24th, 2022 - a dreadful day that is burned into my memory forever. Receiving the call that  a loved one is slipping away, and not being able to say goodbye. It is a day that will replay in my mind, remembering every detail that happened after receiving that call.

Although I did not have much time with my mom - I appreciate and love all the wonderful memories that I got to create with her. It has been a challenging year, and my healing journey has only just begun.

My mom touched the hearts of so many people around her and always put everyone before herself, even in her finals days. She took such good care of all her family and friends. She made wonderful memories with her road sistas - and I appreciate and love all the support these lovely ladies have shown my family in these difficult times. She had so much love for her siblings, Debbie and Kevin, and was always trying to support even when she was struggling herself. The bond she has with her parents, Nellie and Dick, and the love she had for them is something I know I shared with my mom. We have all lost a huge part of our lives. She is the biggest fighter out there and will always be my greatest roll model. Love you forever momma.
