An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  I was one of those women. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2021. I have participated in the Run for the Cure for the last 2 years and because of all the amazing support from my family, friends and community, I raised the second and third highest amount of money for an individual.  It was truly remarkable to me that my personal fundraising efforts surpassed $2500 each year. Because of this, I  was able to designate the funds to an area that is meaningful to me within the breast cancer cause.  I hope I am able to do that again this year!

This year's Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is on Sunday, October 6, 2024.  

Please donate today. I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope.
