As many of you know, my family has been hit with breast cancer several times...my mom, two of my sisters and me twice.   We lost my sister Sandy in 2010 due to this terrible disease, and our team is named in her honour.  Her daughters were 10 and 12 at the time.  They are now 24 and 26, and they, like my daughter who is 27, and my brother's two daughters, are at high risk for breast cancer.  They shouldn't have to worry about this but unfortunately it's a very real reality....a reality that I ask you to help us change.  The more money we can raise for research then the more we can reduce the risk that any of them, or other families, will have to deal with this. 

We had a scare in the past year when my sister Paula had a new lump.  Thankfully it was found early through regular screening so your donations really do make a difference!
