Every year I do this run in honour of our Grams that passed away in 2006 after a long battle with cancer.  We will forever miss her presence in our lives.  She passed before her first great grandchild was born.  I run so that more women will meet their grandchildren and great grandchildren.  So that less women will be diagnosed with this disease and so that those that are will have better outcomes and more support.  Unfortunately the Lord called our Grams home and we know she is in a much better place but there will always be a hole in our hearts.  Until we meet again Grams, we run for you . . .

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
