I was diagnosed with breast cancer on October 1st 2021. After finishing chemotherapy, undergoing a double mastectomy and receiving radiation, I am cancer free as of June 2022. I still require medication and recently entered a clinical trial for a new medication.  Myself and my dad are BRCA positive and my dad was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2020. He is thriving at the age of 85!  To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast. cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. I am running with the Rowbust team.  I joined this dragonboat team in 2023 and I have met an incredible group of strong inspiring athletic women!
