Listen, I don’t even want to do this. I wish I didn’t feel pulled to. But breast cancer came tearing through our lives last winter after my sister was diagnosed at 38 and that began the most terrifying times committed to memory.

She didn’t see it coming. Why would she? She was a healthy 38 year old with no symptoms to speak of until one day she found a lump.

Today, she’s well. She was lucky to have caught it early, to have taken it seriously and to have had access to immediate treatment. But the effects are lasting. Physically, emotionally, and for all of us who love her and feared we were going to lose her.

So here I go! Running my first 5k.

Doing it for her and for everyone who needs it until we don’t. I’d really appreciate your support!
