Team Katherine Butson

On January 9, 2013, Katherine's life changed forever when she heard the words, "You have breast cancer." Every day, 70 Canadians will hear these same Earth-shattering words: “You have breast cancer.” While Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done. 

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, our team is helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of Canadians affected by breast cancer. We’re running in honour of the Katherine's hope to see a cure in her lifetime, and we need your support!

Please contribute what you can to help us achieve our fundraising goal of $23,330.40. Every dollar makes a difference. Your donation will fund the best breast cancer research and the largest support system in the country for people affected by cancer. 

Did you know that just $100 could fund two hours of life-saving research in a world class laboratory? Your contribution could lead to the next breakthrough!

When Katherine was diagnosed, there had been next-to-no research done into the very aggressive
triplenegative breast cancer she was fighting. With the help of funds raised since then, research into
triple negative breast cancer is now underway!!
