It has been 16 years since my breast cancer diagnosis. I consider myself to be incredibly fortunate to have reached this milestone. I was fortunate to have an early diagnosis and to live in a country and community where I had access to quick, easy, and affordable medical care.  The older I get, the less I take these things for granted. I was very fortunate to have so many family, friends and coworkers that supported me through my diagnosis, treatment and recovery and continue to support my ongoing fundraising activities for the Run for the Cure. 

The annual Run for the Cure a great event to bring some of my favourite people together for this important cause.  Every year I take this time to reflect on just how lucky I am to be healthy and able to participate and give back to those that supported me and those currently going through treatment.
