To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. 

 

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductual Carcinoma Breast Cancer (IDC) in 2021.  I went through all the treatments from 6 rounds of Chemo, unilateral Mastectomy and 25 doses of Radiation all within 10 months, follow ups are now done every 6 months by my Oncologist at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.  As of today I am now almost 3 years in remission or (NED) No Evidence of Disease.  I'm grateful for the second chance at life, I realized that life is too short and that we must also trust the timing of our lives.  I have decided to participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure to show my support and solidarity in fighting this ugly disease.  

 

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
