Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” 

I am celebrating 6 years post Cancer treatments this year, which means that I now have the same risk of cancer as the general population, one in eight women.  In 2018, I was diagnosed, and it felt surreal.  I’m so lucky to have had a fantastic team of Doctors at Credit Valley Hospital, and to have it caught early. I am participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society, CIBC Run for the Cure on October 6, 2024, walking in honour of all the incredible people in my life who supported me when I went through my surgery and radiation.

My family: "Team Macd" are participating in different parts of the country, we are physically apart yet we are strong together.  

Together, we can change the future of breast cancer.
