I run for myself and so many other warriors that have had to fight through this awful disease.  I run so that one day there is a cure and that the women in our lives won't be taken from us.  I run to honor anyone who has supported and walked alongside someone as they battle their way through.  I run because I will never forget what I felt when I was told that I had cancer. 

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating with whoever is willing to join, and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.  

This disease impacted me and has touched so many incredible women in my life. I have met so many warriors and so many women that have been affected by this disease - in fact, I have met too many.  Let's pull together so that one day our mothers, daughters, sisters, nieces, friends, and co-workers  never have to sit across from a doctor to hear the words "You have cancer".
