My Aunt Mary was a teacher, a mother, wife, and a role model. When we found out she was diagnosed with breast cancer I knew I needed to help and joined my first race. I have not missed a race (ok maybe the one year due to covid as it was just not the same)! This will be my 18th year participating. Although after years of fighting we lost Aunt Mary, I still run in her memory in hopes this terrible disease stops taking away our moms, sisters, and daughters.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people.
