Meet my best friend her name is Maria Angelica but we all called her Maye, for many she was a friend, a colleague, a cousin, a daughter, a mother, a wife, a sister, for me she wasn't just my friend, she was my soulmate...

Maye was diagnosed with Cancer back in 2014, sadly she lost this battle in 2017, Maye was an incredibe woman, she was full of life, her smile could brighten someone's day.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about her, she made an impact in my life and in the lives of everyone around her, she was a light for this world, a light the we lost too soon.

This will be my third year participating and fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024

P.S. Did you know? Fundraising $300 can fund help provide healthy home-cooked meals for guests at a Canadian Cancer Society lodge during their stay. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
