This is my first year participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure. In 2018, my mom, Magdala (Maggie), was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. As sad and scared as we were, my mom moved forward with an incredible sense of hope and determination. She (unapologetically) advocated for herself through it all. She lived a beautiful life, and our 6 years together was truly a gift.

I am participating to honour my mom; walking/running alongside others who have lost their moms way too young.
