Dear Friends and Family,

I hope you are all healthy and enjoying the sunshine and warmth of the season with those you love.

Our family has been fortunate, so we count our blessings as we optimistically look toward the future.

After 3 long years of social distancing, I look forward to participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure in person on October 1st! For over 20 years, I have supported its aim for breast cancer research, education and support. (Attached is a photo of us at a previous CIBC Run for the Cure.). I believe that every step we take brings us closer to finding a cure.

Breast cancer continues to be one of the most prevalent and devastating diseases affecting millions of women and their families around the world. The statistics are alarming, and the need for ongoing research to find a cure and improve treatment options is crucial.

Last year, due to your generosity we were able to provide over fifty wigs for women undergoing chemotherapy. I hope to be able to provide even more this year.  And, my participation in this annual Run will not end until a cure has been found.

Like many of you, breast cancer has impacted my family and friends. And so, we participate in the Run for those who are here now, for those along the way who have left us and for those we pray will never be touched by it. We are resilient, and we will get through this together.

On October 1st, I hope you will support this very important objective, which while focused on ending Breast Cancer, also celebrates the innumerable acts of life-affirming courage and determination by women facing this challenge.

I am eternally grateful to all the wonderful people, who over the years have heartily supported both emotionally and financially our involvement in this event. My heart swells with appreciation for those who have always cheered us on loudly and have hugged us tightly during this special time.
