As a runner and a breast cancer survivor/thriver, I am very grateful to be able to participate and continue to fundraise in the Run for The Cure for the 24th consecutive year. To date, I have raised close to $400,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society for Metastatic Cancer Research and our team "JUST DOING IT" has raised more than $500,000. 

As a consistent, top fundraiser, I am priviledged to be able to allocate all the fundraising dollars that I receive directly to Metastatic Cancer Research. The Run for The Cure means so much to me and it has been my passion and commitment to raise funds for this worthy cause.

I truly appreciate the excellent medical care and treatments that I received from The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. I have seen first hand how women and men's lives have improved and the mortality rate has dropped significantly due to the fundraising dollars that have funded new therapies and adjuvant treatments for the past 24 years. 

I am running in memory of my dear friends Graci and Ros and for all my teammates who lost their battle to this insidious disease.
