This year I will once again not be walking with our Warrior, but I will be walking for her and for my neighbour who unfortunately became a Warrior last year.  I will not be in town so instead of "taking a year off" like Stephanie suggested I will walk 5 kms in whatever part of Ontario I am in on Oct 6th.  I believe it will be Cambridge area.  I will don my pink and my "Walkin' for the Girls" shirt and proudly strut 5 kms and blow bubbles all the way.  Let's face reality - breast cancer does not "take a year off" - nor will I.  I will miss the comradery and the cookies yet again, but I will not miss trying to fundraise to maybe save a breast or a life.  

Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” While these Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done. 

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure,  I’m helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of Canadians affected by breast cancer. I’m running in honour of the incredible people in my life, and I need your support!
