My beautiful cousin Jen has been battling breast cancer for over 1 year now, with no break in sight. I’m participating in this year’s CIBC Run for the Cure to help give Jen, and other people like Jen, the hope for new treatments to fight this terrible disease. I’m sad to say that I personally know 6 women who have, or have had, breast cancer, and know of many more sisters, wives, aunts, daughters who are fighting or have fought this battle as well. An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
