Hello peoples
Running is soooooo NOT my thing, in fact some of my most earliest memories of running, were that it often suspiciously made breathing “taste” like blood…a clear sign that we were not to be allys. I am for lack of a better term, a happy spectator of all that is “sporty”; unless muscling three kiddos under five counts. 

But what has become more and more evident to me over the last two years and as I approach 40 years old, is that we and/or someone we love will be struck with life-shifting heartbreak in the form of cancer sooner than ever imaginable. And we all don’t get to be okay again. We all get a chance to fight, but even those most graceful and astonishing of fighters are given no promise of being okay. 

My Team lost a sister, daughter, friend and young mother waaay before she was finished living. 

And so I will skip, hop, waddle, walk, and RUN (until it tastes like blood) or 5km…whatever comes first; because loosing to cancer can look different in the future if we all just keep pushing, speaking up and running for a cure!
