To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. 

I am specifically running for all the strong and courageous women in my family breast cancer has effected.

To my great grandma Elaine who battled the disease for years all while raising a family. 

To my grandma Sandy who was diagnosed after her own daughter was. 

To my great aunt Julie who diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time her sister was diagnosed with uterine cancer. 

To my mother Paula who was diagnosed in 2019 and had a double mastectomy one year later. 

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund support programs and services. It will also fund groundbreaking breast cancer research — with my hope that my money raised goes towards breaking the cycle for myself and my future daughters.  

This year I set a goal to raise $300 and I promised for every dollar raised Id walk/run/bike 1KM. Thanks to you amazing people, within 36 hours I had raised triple my donation goal. 

My commitment to walk/run/bike remains but given your generosity, matching this amount is likely not possible. Therefore I promise to move 900KM, which is triple my original promise. 

Please donate today. I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope. And we can help change the future for all.
