Unfortunately, my mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This disease is sadly not new to our family with it having impacted my great aunt (survivor) and my late grandma Maggie who passed of breast cancer at only 49 years old, before I was born.

Now more than ever, I have felt compelled to participate in the run for the cure, once again as I did when I was younger with my mom. So, to show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, except this time for my mom instead of with her.

Please donate today. I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible, so that hopefully this disease ends plaguing my family.

Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope. And we can help change the future for all.
