When one of my dearest friends Rosetta lost her battle against breast cancer in 2002 at the age of 30, I thought it was a 1 in a million chance... that it never happened to women that young. But in 2009, another one of my best friends Jamie would hear the news that she too had breast cancer. That year, she organized our small team of dedicated friends - The Breast Dress Project - and we have raised over $120,000 to date. Jamie was weeks away from her 35th birthday when she passed away in February 2012.  Add that amount to the $100,000 we raised for The Rosetta Ferrarotto Pecora Memorial Golf Tournaments, and that's a lot of incredible generosity from all of you to help find a cure...

There are more than 200 different types of cancer, and there are over 60 organs in the body where a cancer can develop. In addition to losing my dear friends Rosie and Jamie, I have seen my goddaughter mourn the passing of her young grandmother. In April 2013 we lost my 54 year uncle who had been battling Lymphoma. Cancer is an awful disease that has affected many friends, my dad, and so many others...

I do not want my girls to have to worry about someone else they love being diagnosed with this disease. I continue to hope and pray that we are the ones to witness the day that a cure is found, not only for breast cancer, but for all cancers... so thank you again for your support!
