As some of you may know, my life was forever changed last year when I was diagnosed with triple positive infiltrating lobular carcinoma, one of many types of breast cancer that continues to exist, shortly after having celebrated my 40th birthday.

I am fortunate to have an amazing healthcare team and to have recieved the most up-to-date treatments, which specifically targeted the type of cancer I had to increase my chances of surviving. These treatments would not be made possible without the continuous advancements in science and research aswell as the persistance and dedication of those who have come before me.

To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people, as has been the case for me. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
