I've been running for the cure for two decades, from Winnipeg to Calgary, Montreal and Ottawa, alongside my sisters and niece. We started in memory of our sister Ebob (Team Ebob), and now we're literally running for our lives. 4 of my fathers 5 daughters have been affected by breast cancer. Team JBs daughter honors my sisters collective strength and resilience  - paying it forward so the next generation does not have to. 

The reality is that 1 in 3 women diagnosed with breast cancer will develop a secondary illness or an incurable recurrence. Also, Black women are statistically disproportionately affected by breast cancer's devastating impact.  This is a stark reminder that we need action now.

Metastatic breast cancer is incurable. Breast cancer is not the "good kind."

Despite early detection efforts, we still don't fully understand why breast cancer spreads or how to predict it. Positive thoughts and a fighting spirit are important, but they won't cure this disease. We desperately need more research to find new treatments for those living with metastatic breast cancer and ultimately, a cure.

All funds raised by Team JB's Daughter and other Metastatic Breast Cancer teams will go directly towards researching solutions to improve the lives of women with MBC. We've raised over $1.2 million, but we need your help to continue making an impact.
