We have come together as a team to support the estimated 27,700 women and 260 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

We are participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6th, 2024, because we believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. And we want to support all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, including our family and friends.

The Wonder Women of Wealth is a group of women in Private Wealth Management at CIBC who have come together to give back and make a difference, on a larger scale. Our goal is big and we are on a mission to raise over $1 million dollars across the country and $30,000 locally here in Ottawa for CIBC Run for the Cure.  Last year together, our team was able to raise over $34,000 locally.

Our motivation is two-fold:

1. To raise money for breast cancer research, as with the help of our donors, we hope to reduce the number of people diagnosed with breast cancer, reduce mortality for those who develop the disease, and improve the quality of life for those affected.
2. To shine a light on women in wealth and encourage others to join us in a career path for which they are particularly well-suited.

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease. Together, we can create a future without breast cancer.
