Many of my friends have lost their mothers, and it is a pain that can be felt through chains of people. They are not just mothers, but sisters, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, nieces, best friends, bosses, teachers, role models, heroes, caregivers, artists, innovators, leaders, they are individuals who make our world so much of what it is. They shape and heal the definition of humanity, of life on Earth, of existence as we know it. A friend's loss is our loss.

I cannot imagine the pain of losing someone you love so thoroughly. I accept that no woman or person can live forever, but I do not accept that they can be taken prematurely by illness that we as a species have the means to prevent and treat. Money should be no object in saving a most important person in your life. In anyone's life.

This is my small part in investing in the security of a person who enhances my meaning of life. To all women who give men the privilege of vulnerability and heartfelt emotion. Those who give us new perspectives to life. To anyone you've ever loved.

Together we can invigorate our global wellbeing, by keeping those who are precious, those who make us precious, here with us, for as long as our beautiful lives will allow.
