Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.”.....earlier this year, my mom was one of the Canadians who had to hear those words.  While these Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis (my mom being one of them), there is still so much work to be done. 

This is my 5th year that I am participating in this year’s CIBC Run for the Cure. I am running for my mom and all the women out there who have been affected by breast cancer and we need your support. My mom is the strongest person in my life. She has continuously shown me that courage is something we all possess inside of us. Her strength during her breast cancer battle was incredible.......my mom never fusses over herself and even with everything going on with her, she always wants to make sure that we are all okay. She’s amazing and we are forever grateful that she overcame her battle. She is a breast cancer survivor!
