I decided last minute to join the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure this year and will be running/walking for my friend, Maria Kirton who passed away from cancer earlier this year.  She was a fierce warrior and a beautiful soul who was taken from us way too soon. Her cancer was aggressive but she remained strong up until the very end. She is my hero and I hope that with the money raised for cancer research, that no one has to suffer from this terrible disease.
